JOB SUMMARY

Seeking an individual to apply strategic product owner and subject matter expertise skills to drive successful technology software solution optimization for Oracle Fusion ERP and other related Financial Applications aligned to the business value stream Acquire to Retire. The mission of the Applications/Solutions Architect, is to lead and guide the product strategy as a change agent to ensure optimized utilization of the current software solution and definition of the future state solution. The architect will take a pragmatic approach utilizing the applications inventory, system architecture diagrams, current and multi-year Technology organization budgets, SLAs between the Technology Organization and internal business partners, key performance indicators, lifecycle analysis, emerging business needs, and market technology trends to define practical steps to move the organization towards future state.

The architect works closely with developers, other architects and engineers, business owners and key partner stakeholders to create and execute product planning and strategy development. The Applications/Solutions Architect performs analysis of data, functionality, technology, operations, configurations, current policies and processes to discover and report any process improvements, new approaches, or new enterprise system options to increase efficiencies and maximize the value the product creates. This position is responsible for strategy, technology roadmap, design, and efficiency consulting. The architect will benchmark current and future strategy with other leading organizations, perform product planning and strategy development including development of strategic cloud solution and other supporting technologies – such as mobile, business intelligence, AI and/or SaaS systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing Financial Systems technology solution strategy and plans after thorough review of functional and technical specifications for a specific business value stream – Acquire to Retire.

  • Identify issues within the Acquire to Retire technology stack and provide solution options to business partners and other stakeholders.

  • Creating a cost-benefit and ROI analysis for core enterprise systems, weighing the cost of enhancements vs inefficiencies

  • Providing estimates and financial forecasting

  • Functional and Technical Analysis and Solution Design

  • Conducting reviews and producing application quality metrics

  • Performing operational analysis and efficiency consulting

  • Conducting business process mapping and formulating Fusion ERP technical specifications, optimizations and road map.

  • Making recommendations for automating business processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and continuously improve.

  • Documenting current state and future state for product strategy

  • Collaborating with other architects on infrastructure configuration and strategy

  • Benchmarking current product strategy and environment with other leading organizations

  • Developing a five-year roadmap for ERP/Financial systems, enhancements, implementations and benefits realization

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes

  • Strong Oracle Fusion ERP functional expertise specifically in Project Portfolio Management. Certification preferred and will be required.

  • Financials industry knowledge and insight

  • Fusion ERP product, project and program management experience

  • Ability to look at the big picture, recommend new approaches and tackle new ideas.

  • Ability to diagnose issues and design solutions to complex and seemingly intractable technical problems.

  • Experience with educating key business partners

  • Experience with data analysis

  • Experience evaluating technology and enterprise system options and mapping technical solutions to strategic business goals

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Change agent

Education

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related degree

  • MBA is preferred.
