Job Description:

This Solution Architect Sr, position will provide overall functional, operational and technical leadership for various GAS portfolio/solutions with a focus on Enterprise GIS Implementations, Esri Geospatial Solutions and Asset Management solutions. Decompose high-level business requirements and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who base their work on the requirements. Identify operational system interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements. Validate and ensure conformance to Enterprise standards. Serve as a mentor to senior and entry-level consultants, developers, and engineers. Additionally, the Solution Architect is expected to participate in Architect Peer review and GIS COE (Center of Excellence) meetings and own technical issue resolution


  • GIS Solution architecture development experience using technologies and frameworks such as Esri, ArcGIS, Geodatabase, FME, Workflow Integration, .NET, WebAPI etc.,

  • Ability to create context diagrams as well as conceptual, logical and physical architecture diagrams.

  • Knowledge of gas, electric and/or water utilities. Gas Distribution or Gas Transmission experience is a plus.

  • 8-10 years of work experience in support of related utility consulting or large-scale process/technology projects.

  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Esri Enterprise GIS technology (Layers, Map Services, Geocoder, Draw Tools,

  • Good knowledge and experience with Asset management Solutions such as Maximo.

  • Familiarity with utility operational technologies including Asset and Work Management Systems/ ArcGIS – Geometric Network Management/ ArcGIS – Pipeline Referencing/ Integrity Management Software (DIMP or TIMP).

  • Familiarity with continual gas network management and/or construction practices.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance for gas utilities (Integrity Management Plans).

  • Experience with designing re-usable solution components and perform design & code reviews.

  • Experience working in a medium to large enterprise setting and collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work concurrent architecture assignments on multiple projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline (e.g., GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent)
