Application/Solution Architect (Data Integration)
This position is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, planning, architecture, development and sustainment of data integrations to support two key business units (Fleet Operations & Trading and Financial & Fuel Services) in Commercial Operations & Planning. This position will work with Business Stakeholders, Application Developers, DBAs and other Architects to design, build, and maintain foundational Data Models, ETL/Data Ingestion platforms and Integration platforms required to support Data Acquisition and Information Delivery for the use of business processes, business applications and reporting & business analytics solutions. The incumbent is expected to be highly knowledgeable and experienced with modern data architecture, including but not limited to, development of a master data management strategy, implementation of data as a service solutions and implementation of self-service analytics environment. This position is also responsible for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, FERC 888 and other regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or an Engineering field strongly preferred; four (4) years of relevant technical experience is an acceptable substitute.
Eight or more years of professional IT experience.
A minimum of five (5) years of service, providing architecture, and/or support for data.
Three or more years of architecture leadership experience.
Experience building data architecture roadmaps.
Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex application & data solutions.
Experience working in a fast-paced, competitive information technology organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Research industry guidance, frameworks, best practices and work with industry experts on an on-going basis to determine emerging trends
Create and evaluate technical architectures and ensure enterprise-wide buy-in, adoption, adherence and implementation
Partner with business units and technology teams to elicit and translate business requirements into the design/architecture of innovative technology solutions
Articulate business drivers and how information technology can be applied to meet the requirements in business terms.
Ability to simplify complex subjects in a way that can be easily understood by less technical audiences

Design highly scalable and extensible architectures which enables the secure collection, storage, relating, describing, modeling, and analysis of a myriad of datasets, including time-series, structured, and unstructured data.
Participate and provide technical leadership in all stages of a data solution life cycle: analyze/profile data, create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs, architect and build ETL/API, reporting and analytics solutions
Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server & Oracle.
Experience with modern enterprise data architectures and data toolsets (ex: data warehouse, data marts, data lake, 3NF and dimensional models, modeling tools, profiling tools, data dictionary)
Experience in data management/integration platforms such as Informatica, Oracle Service Bus, BPEL, Kafka, etc.
Experience in defining and delivering Enterprise Integration Architectures including APIs, SOA, Event Driven Architecture
Experience in the Microsoft .NET framework - Microsoft .NET Core 2.0 and .NET Framework 4.7.1 and above; Microsoft Visual C#, WPF, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework
Experience with REST-based service development using JSON
Experience in reporting solutions such as SSRS, OBIEE, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Experience with Big Data & Analytics solutions such as Hadoop, AWS, Azure and/or other technologies is a plus
Understanding of rules and regulations that govern the use of technology, such as NERC CIP, Sarbanes-Oxley and FCC licensing is a plus
Understanding of the utility industry is a plus
